Our Approach to Privacy
The handling of information supplied here, stated in full rather than summarised.
Scope and Purpose
Two things are set out below: what cmmcalibrationkansascity.com does with the information it receives, and who is paid when a request is placed. Both cover this website and the requests made through it, and both are stated in full, not summarised.

Referral and Marketing Disclosure
Kansas City CMM Calibration and Repair operates cmmcalibrationkansascity.com as a marketing and referral website. It is not a calibration laboratory, and no CMM Calibration and Repair work is performed by the operator of this site.
Requests submitted through this site are passed to external laboratories. Those laboratories hold their own accreditation, maintain their own quality management systems, and issue certificates and reports in their own name. Which laboratory receives a request is selected on current accreditation and the scope of it, on capability demonstrated for the measurement requested, and on its record of delivery.
In connection with that introduction, the operator of this website is paid. That payment may take the form of a referral fee, a fixed fee for the use of this website, or a commission on work that is placed. It does not change the price you are quoted. It also gives the operator no role in performing, approving or certifying any measurement. The terms and conditions carry the same disclosure. The commercial relationship behind this site is stated, not implied.
What This Site Records
Two broad buckets make up what reaches this site.
- From a request: name, company, email address, telephone number, the item, the quantity, the measurement points, the tolerances, the standard, and the turnaround needed.
- From the browser itself: IP address, browser and device type, the referring page, and the pages viewed.
This website collects no payment card details, under any circumstance.
Purposes
Information supplied with a request is used to review that request, to obtain a quotation from a laboratory able to perform the work, and to correspond with you about it. Technical browser information is used to keep the site available and secure and to understand which pages are used.
Information collected here is not sold, and it is not rented, traded or supplied to third parties for their own marketing.
Sharing of Information
Request detail reaches the laboratory or laboratories asked to quote or to perform the work. It also reaches the service providers behind this website — hosting, email delivery and analytics — who act on instructions and may not use it for their own purposes.
Where the law requires a disclosure, it is made. Where an accreditation body exercises a right of access to the records of a laboratory performing work, that access is honored.
Keeping Technical Detail Confidential
Confidentiality covers drawings, specifications, tolerances, measurement data and results, on the same basis as the confidentiality obligations that apply to accredited laboratory work. Access is limited to the people who need the material to prepare a quotation or to complete the work.
Any disclosure compelled by law is notified to you once it has been made, unless that notification is itself prohibited.
Cookies and Site Statistics
This site uses cookies only where they are needed for it to function and, where analytics is enabled, to count visits in aggregate. Most browsers allow cookies to be blocked or deleted; blocking them does not prevent use of this site, although a submitted form may not be recorded correctly.
How Long It Is Kept
How long an inquiry record is kept tracks need: the time it takes to answer the request, plus whatever accounting and record-keeping obligations require, after which it is deleted or the identifying detail is removed. A performing laboratory keeps its own records under its own records policy.
Your Rights Over This Information
What is held about you can be viewed, corrected, or deleted on request, through the contact page. The answer comes within thirty days. Marketing email, should any be sent, carries an unsubscribe link, honored on receipt.
Updates to This Policy
Revision is possible at any time; the version published at cmmcalibrationkansascity.com governs. The laws of Missouri apply to this statement.
